Stargate and Obama?

Remember this movie?

Well, for some reasons, this happened last night (FYI, I wrote this blog on the 10th of December, 2009):

Mysterious Giant Spiral Dominates Norway's Sky

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,579868,00.html

Wednesday, December 09, 2009

A mysterious giant spiral of light that dominated the sky over Norway on Wednesday has stunned experts — raising the possibility of an entirely new astral phenomenon.

Thousands of awe-struck Norwegians bombarded the Meteorological Institute to ask what the incredible light — which could be seen in the pre-dawn sky for hundreds of miles — could possibly be.

Theories have ranged from a misfired Russian missile, meteor fireball, never-before-seen type of northern light, black hole and even alien activity.

Witnesses across Norway all described seeing a spinning "Catherine wheel-style" spiral of white light, centered around a bright moon-like star. A blue "streaming tail" appeared to anchor the spiral to earth, before the light "exploded" into a rotating ring of white fire.

Sightings of the spiral spectacle, which lasted for two minutes, were reported as far north as Finnmark to Trondelag in the south.

Chief Scientist Erik Tandberg, at the Norwegian Space Centre, said that he too was "totally amazed" by the spiral.

He agreed with many other experts that the spiral pattern could have been caused by a missile from Russia — something the Russian military have strongly denied.

These are the pictures of the 'phenomenon':

Other news about the Norwegian Spiral:

Mystery as spiral blue light display hovers above Norway

by admin on Dec.09, 2009

A mysterious light display appearing over Norway last night has left thousands of residents in the north of the country baffled.

Witnesses from Trøndelag to Finnmark compared the amazing sight to anything from a Russian rocket to a meteor or a shock wave – although no one appears to have mentioned UFOs yet.

The phenomenon began when what appeared to be a blue light seemed to soar up from behind a mountain. It stopped mid-air, then began to circulate.

Within seconds a giant spiral had covered the entire sky. Then a green-blue beam of light shot out from its centre – lasting for ten to twelve minutes before disappearing completely.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute was flooded with telephone calls after the light storm – which astronomers have said did not appear to have been connected to the aurora, or Northern Lights, so common in that area of the world.

The mystery deepened tonight as Russia denied it had been conducting missile tests in the area.

Fred Hansen, from in Vesterålen, described the sight as ‘like a big fireball that went around, with a great light around it again.’

‘It spun and exploded in the sky,’ Totto Eriksen from Tromsø told VG Nett.

He spotted the lights as he walked his daughter Amalie to school.

He said: ‘We saw it from the Inner Harbor in Tromsø. It was absolutely fantastic.

‘It almost looked like a rocket that spun around and around and then went diagonally down the heavens.

‘It looked like the moon was coming over the mountain, but then came something completely different.’

‘It was like a giant spiral – a shooting star that spun around and around. I initially thought it was a projector’, added Axel Rose Berg, from Alta.

Celebrity astronomer Knut Jørgen Røed Ødegaard told VG Nett he had never seen anything like the lights.

He said: ‘My first thought was that it was a fireball meteor, but it has lasted far too long.

‘It may have been a missile in Russia, but I can not guarantee that it is the answer.’

Air Traffic control in Tromsø claimed the light show lasted for two minutes, but admitted that was ‘far too long to be an astronomical phenomena.’

Tromsø Geophysical Observatory researcher Truls Lynne Hansen was certain the light had been caused by a missile launch.

He told Norwegian media that the missile had likely lost control and exploded. The spiral, he claimed, was the result of light reflecting on the leaking fuel. He was quoted as saying the light was sunlight, despite the strange lights showing up at night.

The Barents Observer quoted Norwegian Defence spokesman Jon Espen Lien as saying that the Norwegian military does not know what the lights were – but that they were probably from a Russian missile.

He said it was normal for Russia to use the White Sea and the Barents Sea as a testing ground for missiles.

However a Moscow news outlet tonight quoted the Russian Navy as denying any rocket launches from the White Sea area.

Norway should be informed of such launches under international agreements, it was stressed.

The Russian Defence Ministry was unavailable for comment last night.

Norway wormhole is First Contact, claim UFO watchers

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/world/norway-wormhole-is-first-contact-claim-ufo-watchers-as-wormhole-opens/story-e6frf7lf-1225808911711

  • Spiralling blue light appears over Norway
  • Flashes beam to earth, then "explodes"
  • Internet abuzz with "First Contact" claims

UFO watchers around the world are buzzing after video footage emerged overnight of what they believe is the strongest proof yet that were are not alone in the universe.

Thousands of people bombarded Norway's Meteorological Institute with reports of a spiralling blue light that appeared in the sky above Trondelag around 8.45am local time.

The light has been descirbed as a "giant blue catherine wheel" spiralling around a bright object and appeared at one stage to be anchored to the ground with a triangular blue beam.

The light then "exploded" into a ring of white fire, according to UK tabloid The Sun, prompting true believers on forums around the world to declare the moment "First Contact".

"It looked like a rocket that spun around and around - and then went diagonally across the heavens," Totto Eriksen, from Tromso in northern Norway, told The Sun.

"It looked like the moon was coming over the mountain - but then turned into something totally different."

As yet, no one has come forward to claim the phenomenon as a hoax, nor have scientists or military experts been able to explain the light show.

One theory is that it may have been a light show laser projected onto low clouds, but the dawn timing and large scale of the display makes it unlikely.

Stargate fans claim it's a UFO entering the Earth's atomosphere through a wormhole, and say it explains how UFOs seemingly appear and disappear at random in our skies.

One of the most popular conspiracy theories links the phenomenon to the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland and rumours of a "Blackhole Project" under way at the giant underground atom-smasher.

Norwegian Space Centre chief Scientist Erik Tandberg told The Sun he agreed with many experts who believed it may have been a missile test from Russia, although Russia has quickly moved to deny any such testing.

"I agree with everyone in the science community that this light was the weirdest thing. I have never seen anything like this ever," he said.

"The spiral suggests the object came off course and balance and entered the spiral movement. Leaking rocket fuel could account for the blue light.

"But I know that the military have denied this explanation. So we could be looking at an entirely new natural phenomenon."

But all in all, could the 'phenomenon' be related to these news below?

Obama departs for Norway to accept Nobel prize

Wed Dec 9, 9:27 pm ET

ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, Maryland (AFP) – US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle departed for Oslo late Wednesday to accept his Nobel Peace Prize, an AFP photographer said.

The presidential plane known as Air Force One departed Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, near Washington, bound for the Norwegian capital where Obama was to give a speech Thursday as a Nobel laureate.

The couple were to spend the night in Oslo before returning Friday to the United States.

White House director of speechwriting Jon Favreau told AFP that Obama would speak solemnly about the odd coincidence of accepting the revered prize a week after ordering 30,000 troops to Afghanistan in a major war escalation.

"The president is receiving a peace prize as the commander in chief of a nation that is in two wars," said Favreau, one of two White House speechwriters working on the text with Obama.

Obama was expected to put the finishing touches on his speech as he flies across the Atlantic overnight before a day of ceremonies in Oslo, protected by the biggest ever security operation rolled out by the Norwegian government.

Obama to spend 26 hours in Norway, pick up Nobel Peace Prize

(CNN)
-- President Obama -- fighting wars in two countries -- will arrive in Norway on Thursday to accept the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.

The president will spend 26 hours in Oslo meeting the royal family, accepting the Nobel at an afternoon ceremony and attending an award banquet that evening.

At the ceremony, Obama will accept a $1.4 million prize check, a gold medal and a diploma.

He also will speak at the ceremony, which will be streamed live on CNN.com starting at 7 a.m. ET. He will touch on the war in Afghanistan, for which he last week announced a surge of 30,000 U.S. troops, said White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Obama's day will begin with a trip to the Nobel Institute, where he will meet for the first time the five-member panel that unanimously picked him for the prize, said Mette Owre of the Norwegian Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama will then meet with Norway's King Harald V and Queen Sonja before heading to the award ceremony.

"Then he goes to the hotel where he is staying. He will have some downtime. He is governing America at the time," Owre said.

In the evening, the president will be the guest of honor at a banquet where the king and queen and the Norwegian prime minister will be among 250 attendees, Owre said.

Obama's Nobel Prize win, announced in October, elicited swift reaction -- some hailing the choice; others asking what he had accomplished to deserve it.

Nominations for the prize had to be postmarked by February 1, only 12 days after Obama took office. The committee sent out its solicitation for nominations last September, two months before Obama was elected president.

The Nobel committee said it recognized his efforts at dialogue to solve complex global problems, including working toward a world free of nuclear weapons.

"Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the committee said.

The president said he saw the decision less as a recognition of his accomplishments and more as "a call to action."

Some analysts have speculated that the prize could give Obama additional clout as he forms a new strategy for the war in Afghanistan and attempts to engage Iran and North Korea.

The domestic political consequences are unclear. Obama's supporters hope the prestige associated with the prize will strengthen the president's hand in the health care reform debate.

Obama, the first African-American to win the White House, is the fourth U.S. president to win the prestigious prize and the third sitting president to do so.

The ceremony honoring the winners in the other Nobel Prize categories also will be held Thursday, but in Stockholm, Sweden. Those winners were picked by a committee separate from the one that determines the Peace Prize winner.

December 10 is the anniversary of the death of Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite and founder of the prizes.

CNN's Saeed Ahmed contributed to this report.

A stargate opens the night before the arrival of Obama... wow how obvious.

Update: Apparently this strange light was a Russian Bulava missile launch failure. From the Russian Interfax News Agency: Bulava missile launch failed - Dec 9. Here is the link to Interfax press release. Just keep in mind that the Russian military might claim responsibility for this anomaly just to help quiet the inquisitive minds out there.

Norway spiral - Russia accepts blame even though Norway may have been responsible ! !

Topic started on 13-12-2009 @ 10:57 PM by tauristercus

Five days ago, an unprecedented atmospheric anomaly was observed in the skies above Norway.
Initial reports as to the cause were varied but eventually mainstream opinion appeared to favour the Russian malfunctioning missile scenario. Initially disavowing any knowledge of the cause of the effect, Russia eventually accepted responsibility and admitted that the spiral effect was a direct result of the malfunction.

On the surface, this seems to have satisfied the majority of people and already this marvelous event is fading into memory.
But for those who aren't satisfied with such glib and superfluous "explanations" and prefer to dig deeper, I offer the following alternative scenario ...

Let's do a simple analysis to see if the "malfunctioning missile" scenario can possibly be debunked ....

Looking at the following image, the nominal flight path of the Bulava missile when launched from the White Sea area would have placed it almost immediately on a north-east trajectory, following a great circle route to it's intended impact point in the Kamchatka penninsula, approximately 5,500 kms distant.

And yet for the missile to be so clearly visible in the Norwegian sky, implies that the missiles guidance system must have almost immediately failed and changed it's path to a north-westerly direction, almost a 90 degree shift in direction ... and headed instead towards Norway !

Based on the following image, it is clear that if the spiral was the result of a failed missile test and was visible from Norway, then it should also have been clearly visible from both Sweden and Finland which both would have been within the missiles flight trajectory - yet corroborating eye witness reports from either of these countries is almost non-existent. Virtually every report and image originates from Norway alone, implying that the spiral display (irrespective of the source) must have occurred at a very low altitude if only visible from Norway.

Now lets determine whether I'm justified in stating that the spiral display occured at a very low altitude which is not commensurate with the proposed mainstream conclusion that it was the result of a failed Russian Bulava missile test.

Firstly, lets take a look at the Bulava's specifications:

Not mentioned is that the Bulava has an apogee of 1,000 kms which is achieved after the successful burn of all 3 stages.

We are now being told that this particular Bulava test failed because of problems associated with the third stage burn. Now this implies that until the 3rd stage problems, that the 1st and 2nd stages completed their burns nominally which should have lifted the Bulava to an altitude of at least 500 kms.

But here we have a major stumbling block in our acceptance that the spiral was a direct result of the missile failure.

If the spiral was mainly observed only from Norway, that implies that the missile was already off course shortly after launching and heading in a radically wrong direction and would cross at least 3 sovereign countries of Finland, Sweden and Norway. It also implies that the missile never reached any appreciable altitude otherwise the spiral effect would have been visible over a vast geographical area and not just Norway. The immediate question to be asked is why the missile was allowed to complete a 1st and 2nd stage burn and not terminated immediately a deviation was noticed ... with the potential horrendous political repercussions should it come down in one of those 3 countries, especially Norway !

It's common knowledge that all previous Bulava tests that had inflight malfunctions were immediately terminated ... and yet this one doesn't appear to have been.

So why have Norway, Sweden and Finland remained completely silent on the entire matter instead of raising a political #-storm over Russia test firing flawed missiles through their air space ?

Now lets take a look at whats been stated to be proof of a Russian missile launch on that day ... namely the visible exhaust trail.

In the following images, you can clearly see on the horizon what appears to be an exhaust trail and has been taken as evidence of a missile launch ... in this case the launch of a Bulava missile on 9 December.

Now take a look at the following image that illustrates the "distance to the horizon" calculation.

For someone of average height standing at sea level, the distance to the horizon is approximately 5 kms.

Let's use the above calculation and rearrange it so that instead of determining the distance to the horizon, we use it instead to calculate the height.

Now, the distance from Tromso, Norway to the White Sea is approximately 800 kms. Plugging this value into the rearranged equation tells us that to be able to see the "exhaust plume" created at the White Sea from a distance of 800 kms, that the height of the plume will need to extend an incredible 40 kms into the upper atmosphere. If that wasn't bad enough, to be able to visually see that plume, it would imply that the exhaust plume had a width in excess of 10 kilometres !!

A height of 40 kms and a width greater than 10 kms ... all from the launch of a single missile ... thats equivalent to the exhaust plume from a shuttle launched in Cape Canaveral being seen 800 kms away in North Carolina ... somehow I don't think so !!!!

So, as has been shown, it doesn't take much analysis to arrive at the conclusion that whatever was responsible for the spiral effect above Norway, it could NOT have been the result of a failed Russian missile test ending in a spectacular fashion in the airspace above Norway.

Well, if a missile test could NOT have been responsible for the spiral display in the sky, what other options or possibilities would make more logical sense?

Well, one day after the Norway Spiral event (Thursday), along came this news with video on Youtube :

UFOs over Kremlin?

http://www.ufocasebook.com/2009d/kremlinvideo.html

Published: 11 December, 2009, 13:38

A UFO has circled the Kremlin – well, that's if you believe a short clip which has soared to the top of YouTube as Russia’s most viewed videos.

The film, apparently shot from a passing car, has become a sensation.

Another YouTube clip shot in daytime shows a grey object in the sky near Red Square.

However, skeptics say that if the images were for real, the public would have reported the sightings to police – who have made no comment on the issue.
